Greetings, We are David and Stephanie Clark, Co-Founders of African Talent investment Project US and African Talent Initiatives in Rwanda, Africa. We employ tailors to sew washable feminine sanitary pads, facilitators to provide menstrual education, and we donate washable feminine sanitary pads to young girls, and ladies to stop Period Poverty. Our Period Poverty Initiative is changing the lives of thousands of young ladies in Rwanda. This month alone we served over 500 girls. Period poverty is an unacceptable national epidemic. Far too many students in our schools are unable to afford basic health products like tampons and pads. In Rwanda girls miss on average 60 days of school per year due to their Period.

Many fall behind and drop out as a result, ending up in a life of poverty. Only by acknowledging this tragic reality can we begin to take the steps that we need to dismantle this problem and ensure that everyone has access to the period products they need to live and thrive. Already we have helped 500 girls stay in school and not miss as a result of their period. We have answered hundreds of questions and lifted the taboo of speaking about Periods. While we have made some great strides, African Talent Initiatives still has a lot to accomplish. We need your support to provide washable feminine sanitary pads, carry bags, and soap to more than 3000 girls in 3 Districts of Rwanda. Each feminine kit costs $3.00 to manufacture.

We are asking you to sponsor 100 or more students receiving Mensuration Education and Feminine Sanitary Pad Kits. Would you consider donating the following: Kitenge Fabrics $300 serves 100 girls, Industrial Sewing Machines $450, Snaps, Thread, and Pad Lining Bundle $150, to help us achieve our mission? If you have any questions, I would be happy to provide you with more information about how you can help support our work at African Talent Initiatives. We greatly appreciate your donation, and it will be used to end Period Poverty in Rwanda and be used to empower youth, keeping girls in school where they have opportunities to succeed and overcome a life of poverty. The impact that this donation will have is huge, and will make a difference in the quality of life for thousands of ladies. If you wish to contribute, please fill out the attached form or give us a call at Please join us! With your donation, we’re one step closer to eradicating Period Poverty and empower girls to stay in school, freeing the l’m from a life of poverty. At African Talent Initiatives we seek to help youth and young adults by providing a bridge for them to reach their passion and purpose through mentorship, and apprenticeship programs
